Photo of the Day: October 12th, 2025

I was looking out to see if there was any aurora activity to the north and accidentally caught a meteor. The image is a bit blurry, (sorry, I’m still learning) but it looks better as that little 4 second video iPhones make when you shoot low light. I’ve never heard of the October Delta Aurigids, apparently they are faint and far between. I doubt I would have seen it with the naked eye given the light pollution around here. I must go back out and see if I can do a little better job. cheers! The Delta Aurigids last from September 22 through October 23, peaking between October 6 and October 15.
