This came up in my Facebook memories. It’s from October 2014. The view is from the side of St. Martin’s in the Fields towards the National Gallery. Our building is just visible opposite the blue banner. The rain had stopped and the clouds broke up revealing blue skies ahead. I’d seen this view a hundred times before and would see it a couple thousand more before I retired but something about the quality of light and dark struck me as memorable.
