Maybe it’s just us IT guys, but I keep a mental count of how many times I can type in my password before I make a typo. My record is 23 times. And that was before we had the little peep thing that lets you see what you’ve typed. It’s a strange habit, I know, but there’s a certain satisfaction in hitting that many correct entries without error. Especially when dealing with complex, alphanumeric strings. You develop a unique muscle memory for those specific key combinations. Then, of course, a single misstep sends you back to square one, often leading to a temporary lockout. Ah, the little joys and frustrations of cybersecurity! It’s not just me; many of you develop peculiar habits tied to your digital routines. I kinda feel that if I get that tiny challenge correct, then I’m one step closer to beating the bigger challenges. Twenty-three times is an impressive record, but suddenly I’m wondering how often a ‘non’ IT person gets challenged for their password in a single day?
