I can’t wait for things to grow and fruit!

Our larger Ceanothus bush is in full bloom. The bumblebees love it! It overhangs my greenhouse and the back half of it is liberally sprinkled with pollen and petals. If the wind wasn’t so strong right now I’d have to get out there with a broom and clear it away. Smells amazing, I’m really proud of this plant and the few cuttings I’ve gotten to root.

The neighbour’s cat Smokey is perched on my shed to enjoy the sunshine and observe visitors to our bird feeder. And I suspect to out run his housemate Houdini, who comes around 3 times a day to beg for kibbles.

The pyracantha is laden with small white flowers. It reminds me of a Snowball Tree (Viburnum) when it looks like this. As amazing as this is, I can’t wait for all the red berries that will form where the flowers are now. The pyracantha gives a show twice a year.

I don’t think I’ve seen a strawberry with red flowers on it before. I will have to research this variety . Spotted at a garden centre in Fordingbridge.

JJ’s rose bush is going great guns. This is a small section of a 4 foot wide plant covered in buds. The recent rain has (finally) has triggered it to bloom and grow even more. We’ll have pink roses for months at this rate.

The new growth on the Zizi plant is now bigger than the original stem. When this plant decides to grow, it doesn’t full around!

I spotted this tiny white flower in West Grimstead. It’s a star of Bethlehem, and now I have to add that to my wish list. 🙂 All this and there’s all these seedlings in my greenhouse. I have an early bloom on one of my hydroponic tomato plants but the rest is still enigmatic. I DID label a couple of things but the large majority of plants could be anything. Fingers crossed they grow enough to be identified 🙂
