My fig plant with a fig forming: Year one it looked amazing when I bought it from a greenhouse in Germany but it didn’t like the window sill I had it on and promptly lost all its leaves and played dead. I refused to throw it away but instead put it on a shelf in my garden and forgot about it. Year two before winter I brought it in and it got some tiny leaves back on it that spring so I just gave it a sunny corner up away from the snails and it was fine till the first cool night when it dropped it’s leaves again. So I wintered it in a greenhouse and that brings us to now where it’s getting its leaves back and started a small fig at the same time. The short answer is this is England so a slightly different climate though not particularly fig friendly, and my greenhouse has a heater this winter which has spared it the truly low temps.
